Two subsidiaries of Zarubezhneft became the first in Russia to pass the 5Z CULTURE audit
Being an official member of the Vision Zero International Council, Zarubezhneft JSC has been efficiently integrating the principles of the Vision Zero Injury Concept of the International Social Security Association (ISSA) since 2018.
In 2020, Zarubezhneft JSC was the first in Russia to implement the 5Z CULTURE pilot project to assess the quality of creating safe and sustainable organizations.
In the framework of the All-Russian Week of Occupational Safety and Health in September 2021, the official launch of 5Z CULTURE in Russia took place at the platform of Zarubezhneft JSC.
In the period of January 10-12, 2022, JC RUSVIETPETRO LLC passed the final stage of 5Z CULTURE - an audit by the International Foundation for the Prevention of Occupational Risks (FiORP), with the engagement of Juan Carlos Bajo Albarracín - the chief auditor of 5Z CULTURE , Head of Master's Programs in Integrated Management Systems and Risk Prevention of Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
RUSVIETPETRO confirmed compliance with the high requirements in the area of safety, health and well-being in the workplace set by FiORP, and was awarded the right to receive a 5Z CULTURE certificate of compliance with the Roadmap with statements of strengths and potential for improvement attached.
And already on January 14, another subsidiary, ZARUBEZHNEFT-Dobycha Kharyaga, successfully passed the 5Z CULTURE audit, presenting its practices in all five areas and receiving the highest score.
Thus, the experience of Zarubezhneft JSC became the first successful case of the full 5Z CULTURE cycle in Russia.
In the future, 5Z CULTURE will also be cascaded to other subsidiaries of the Zarubezhneft Group of Companies to obtain information about the level of Safety Culture, areas of development and improvement in the considered areas.
5Z CULTURE is a Vision Zero integration quality assessment tool, developed in alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and initiated by the International Foundation for the Prevention of Occupational Risks (FiORP), a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide reliable analysis, innovative concepts and practical solutions to assist the development and well-being of companies and society as a whole.
The 5Z CULTURE tool helps to raise awareness, improve safe behavior and responsibility in the organization, provides an opportunity for assessment and benchmarking in 5 areas:

- Diseases
- Waste
- Inequality
- Unawareness.
