Zarubezhneft scored second in the environmental responsibility rating the Russian petroleum companie
The fifth transparency rating of the Russian petroleum companies in the area of environmental responsibility was finalized on November 30, 2018, in the Analytical Center at the Government of the Russian Federation. The rating was initiated by the fuel and energy complex analytical and consulting group “Kreon”, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) with participation of the National Rating Agency and the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in the framework of a UN project.
This event represents a platform for the representatives of the leading Russian and foreign oil and gas producing companies, noncommercial organizations and mass media to meet and discuss the current problems and the ways for settling them and to demonstrate the transparency of the businesses.
Zarubezhneft JSC has been a part of the transparency rating of the Russian petroleum companies in the area of environmental responsibility since its establishment in 2014. This year 22 petroleum companies have submitted their materials and publications confirming the high environmental responsibility, and among them Zarubezhneft JSC rated second rising from the 5-th place in 2017.
The organizing parties have noted the significant improvement of Zarubezhneft’s positions based on the submitted structured and documented evidenced information by awarding the company with a winner’s diploma in the “Environmental management” section.
