State Design and Research Institute of Petroleum Industry in eastern parts of the USSR "Giprovostokneft" was established in 1946.

In 1995 Giprovostokneft was re-organised into an open joint stock company and incorporated with the Joint Stock Company "RMNTK "Nefteotdacha".

For over 60 years of its operation Giprovostokneft has:

• developed design and estimate documentation for almost 3000 oil and gas fields and for construction of 400 different oil and gas pipelines;
• performed over 2500 scientific researches;
• received over 450 inventor's certificates for discoveries and inventions.

• engineering survey;
• oil and gas fields development, facilitation, drilling, construction;
• main pipelines for oil, gas and hydrocarbon products;
• gas processing plants, crude oil and gas treatment facilities;
• prospective engineering of oil industry development;
• environmental audits and support of investment projects;
• engineering services and many others.
