Khristenko believes that Turkmenistan will invite investors to develop the Caspian shelf under a production sharing agreement.
TURKMENBASHI, May 14. /PRIME-TASS/. Minister of Industry and Energy of the Russian Federation Viktor Khristenko believes that Turkmenistan will invite foreign investors to develop its part of the Caspian shelf under a production sharing agreement. “This position of an owner should be respected” – he told reporters.
The Minister supposed that “possible participation of Russian and Kazakh companies in field development on the shelf would fit the form of a production sharing agreement”.
“All key information on blocks and structures with oil potential is prepared, it’s being studied” – ITAR-TASS quotes the Minister. He reminded that Gazprom (GAZP), Zarubezhneft already have experience working in such areas.
